TELECOMMUNICATIONS BILLING ANALYST - TELECOM EXPENSE & ASSET MANAGEMENT

Headquartered in Yorktown, VA, Aquis Communications is a subsidiary of ComSoft Corporation. Aquis is a leading full service telecommunications provider of affordable business solutions such as cellular/PCS services, one-way and two-way paging, telemetry, mobile radios, RIM/Blackberry services, data circuits, in-building and campus wide wireless networks, telecommunications expense management (TEM) systems, consulting services and a "one source, one invoice" solution for simplifying communications. Our client list ranges from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, government agencies as well as mid-sized companies and organizations representing the manufacturing, healthcare, government, public safety, emergency and education industries based throughout the United States.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated professional with a passion for excellence who can proactively and independently provide various analyses related to telecommunications products and services. Individual should be well versed in all telecommunications products and services and have extensive knowledge of telecom billing and audit related services. Some of the responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and audit carrier bills for clients including simple and complex voice and data services such as access circuits, frame relay, Internet, private virtual circuits, POTS lines, ISDN back-up circuits, local and LD services, wireless messaging, cellular, toll free services, and various other telecom related products and services.
  • Ensure telecommunications vendors bill accurately for services at contracted rates and proactively address all discrepancies in a timely manner and maintain all documentation related to such.
  • Aid clients in ensuring that accurate inventory of telecom invoices, services, and assets are maintained in an appropriate database.
  • Perform various analyses and make recommendations on expense reduction and optimization projects.
  • Make recommendations on provisioning methods and other operational efficiencies that will aid clients in reducing expenses or increasing efficiencies in the telecom area.
  • Interface with clients and vendors as well as various internal parties to validate the overall telecom billing and expense management practices of clients.
  • Gather and collect contractual information from clients and vendors and maintain a database of all relevant information.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy and quality of all deliverables.

Minimum requirements include but are not limited to the following:

  • 3- 5 years telecommunications experience
  • Previous Carrier experience is a definite plus and highly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of telecom products and services including T1's, PRI's, Local and LD, Cellular, Wireless Messaging, POTS, ISDN, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of telecommunications billing systems, terms, and auditing functions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Carrier procedures for orders, disconnects, and changes.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record and comprehensive understanding of current market products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously with an emphasis on quality while meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with and make presentations to various level of internal and external management personnel
