Technical Relations - Forensic Engineer - COOPER TIRE AND RUBBER COMPANY - FINDLAY, OH



Job Description

-Examines liability claim tires and wheels as requested by the Consumer Relations Department.
-Maintains current knowledge of standards, specifications and testing procedures used by Cooper in the evaluation of products as well as those available in the industry.
-Conducts special tests, projects and technical investigations involving tires and/or vehicles as requested by and in support of the Legal Department.
-Investigates and develops background information required to answer interrogatories and other legal questions related to product liability claims.
-In the design of new tires and molds, instrumentation systems, manufacturing equipment and testing equipment, may act as a consultant and offer guidance to the various internal departments interested in those developments.
-Dissemination of the discovery information.

Job Qualifications

2 or more years of tire experience.
Good communication skills.
Self motivated and team player.
Some travel may be required.
