Job Description

Position Profile
Responsible for the day to day operations of the Radiology department in an efficient and cost effective manner. Under the direction of the Manager of Radiology, is responsible for the provision of clinical supervision in the areas of program and staff development, quality resource management and adherence to clinical guidelines as defined by the Hospital, JCAHO and other regulatory agencies, in order to ensure clinical excellence in Diagnostic Imaging. Functions as a resource. Supervises, coordinates, evaluates and improves the delivery and quality of patient care. Provides input into the budgetary process and assists in maintaining fiscal accountability.

Minimum two years recent progressive leadership/management experience. Minimum five years applicable clinical experience in direct patient care. Requires excellent communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through. Excellent clinical evaluation abilities and treatment skills. Working knowledge of supervisory skills, interviewing and counseling techniques and program development skills. Outlook and attitude must be enthusiastic and positive and must act as a role model in this area for employees.

California CRT with Fluoroscopy Permit.


Current BLS-American Heart Association required by start date.


B.S. preferred or equivalent years of management experience. Graduate of AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
