JOB DESCRIPTION

*** Provide UNIX System Administration support. This includes but is not limited to installing/configuring/maintaining hardware and software, ensuring connectivity, backups and restores.

*** Unix Solaris versions 9/10

*** Should have knowledge with Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster

*** Red Hat Linux.

*** Act as an interface between the client and other support areas.

***Ensure that the clients are aware of and adhering to standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

*** 5 years of UNIX administration experience in the Solaris environment


***2- 3 years of UNIX administration experience with Redhat Linux

*** At least one year experience in the following hardware: Sun Sparc, Ultra, SunFire and HP DL architectures.

*** Basic Network and communication skills in NFS, LDAP ,NIS+, TCP/IP, DNS.

***Software and Utilities: PVCS, Sun Admin Suite, CDE, Motif, Perl, awk, sed, and Shell programming.

*** Familiarity with common Unix Administration tools and Utilities a must. Ability to write scripts and procedures to automate administration tasks, produce reports and facilitate user tasks.
