Market Data Business Analyst: Barclays Capital

· Part of the Business Management team within Market Data Management Business Management is responsible for the business relationship with the market data consumers and COOs/Business Managers across all areas of the bank

· Management of user needs by understanding financial basis of request

· Strong knowledge of market data products and industry Single interface with the appropriate business areas for all new and existing market data services, lead contact for trials, pilots etc.

· Drive cost savings and control initiatives for appropriate business areas

· Work in conjunction with Legal, Compliance and Market Data Vendor Management

· Assist with the management of the global market data inventory to ensure data consistency and integrity

· Follow market trends using proven financial markets understanding and knowledge of the market data arena

Business Management:

· Single point of contact for market data services in aligned business areas

· Regular meetings with COO’s and desk heads/business stakeholders

· Keep business areas aware of products and financial developments within the market data industry that could impact business area Demand-challenge for new users/services requests

Financial Management:

· Involvement in the market data budget process

· Control market data spend through demand-challenge process

· Support ongoing cost reductions and vendor rationalisations

Other:

· Ensure financial product knowledge is maintained in the team Interface with other Market Data Management teams (Vendor Management, Financial Management, Business Services, Strategic Tools, Programme Management)

• Vendor engagement for market data product knowledge, roadmaps, trends etc.
