SUMMARY Distributes moneys to gaming guests via check cashing, conversion of coins, tokens and gaming chips into currency. Protects company assets while dealing with the public in an efficient and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Safeguard company assets and adheres to all Cage policies and procedures.
Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.
Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests in a confidential manner.
Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions.
Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
Meets all attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Acts as a role model; presenting oneself as a credit to Cache Creek Indian Bingo & Casino and encouraging others to do the same.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior experience in handling large sums of money is preferred. A proven proficiency with computers and ten (10) key adding machines with some knowledge of computer keyboard are preferred. Must be able to enter data, read and interpret output from computer. Must have excellent guest and human relations skills. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must be willing to learn all phases of cage activity. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
