Job Overview:
The Media Planning Supervisor manages all day to day planning/client service activity. The Media Supervisor provides media planning recommendations internally and directly to the client. The Planning Supervisor oversees preparation of media plans and other deliverables, and supervises media plan implementation. The Media Planning Supervisor is also in charge of supervising the Media Planners and Assistants in executing media plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Associate Planning Director in creating media plans, strategically and efficiently
- Assist the Associate Planning Director in setting overall direction for program planning and negotiating strategies
- Initiate creative and business building ideas
- Oversee plan negotiations and media team activities
- Magnify the buying power of every dollar spent
- Maintain status reports to ensure efficient workflow in order to meet deadlines and write reports of key meetings
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
- 5 - 7 years experience in media planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
- Strong negotiating skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong relationship building skills which include maintaining positive client relationships
