Catering Manager



The Toledo Zoo is currently recruiting for a full time Catering Manager. The position is exempt and requires working evenings, week-ends and holidays. The Zoo offers a myriad of catering opportunities from box picnic lunches to formal sit down dinners in a number of unique settings. Responsibilities include: hiring & management of the part time staff, liquor inventory control, and manages all front of the house aspects of a multiple event facility. Assures adherence to policies and procedures in relation to local, state and federal food/alcohol mandates and effectively monitors the controllable expenditures to stay within the established budget. Prefer a degree in a culinary or hospitality related field with a minimum of five years related experience and must have proven management, interpersonal and communication skills. This position offers a beginning salary in the mid $30’s, attractive benefit package and paid time off. The Toledo Zoo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug & alcohol free workplace.
