Further information about Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. can be found at: www.alexionpharma.com.Responsiblities: This position is a “hands-on” Director accountable for designing and developing Human Resources related programs, training and other organizational learning initiatives that enable employee excellence to support the strategy and mission of the organization. This position will also lead, or enable others to lead implementation of such programs. This role will focus on global initiatives and key regional projects (particularly for the U.S. and the Americas). - Oversees development and implementation of Non-commercial training & development initiatives with focus on global and select regional activities.
- Works closely with the HR Management Team to understand business needs and in the development and implementation of HR initiatives in such areas as:
- Performance Management - Employee Retention - New Hire Orientation - Succession Planning - Employee Surveys - Leads analysis and discussion on the use of SAP and other technologies as OD tools
- Develops and maintains ongoing Management Training programs
- Maintains excellent communication with line management to keep abreast of business needs
- Development of a general training “catalog” of pre-identified training “off-the shelf” training programs
- Provides “expert” guidance on developing and maintaining a culture that embraces change and actively seeks and implements new and better ways of doing things.
- Develop ways of embedding corporate values into the culture and behaviors of Alexion and its employees.
Requirements - 10 years experience in Organizational Development & Training in a Bioscience or technology based (Pharma preferred) environment with multiple sites and commercial operations
- Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of effective: Management Training, Performance Management Systems, Corporate Culture Initiatives, Learning Systems and Technologies
- B.A./B.S. required, M.S./Ph.D. preferred
- OD Certification (AmSocTraDev or CertProfLearnPerf) preferred
- Experience within a global business environment strongly preferred
