Senior Field Applications Engineer

We are seeking a Senior FAE who will provide pre-sales technical support and direction to local sales staff in promoting our products to customer design engineers and architects during the sales process.

Responsibilities include:

• Candidate will need to possess a strong drive to achieve design wins;
• Qualify customer opportunities and provide detailed analysis of customer applications and system architectures to internal marketing and engineering organizations;
• Prepare compelling technical product presentations for customer meetings in order to gain the trust and respect of target customers ;
• Provide product demonstrations and technical benchmarking data against competition to capture unfair amounts of mindshare from the target customer base;
• Should possess the ability to develop strong and lasting relationships with customers in order to facilitate repeat business;
• Provide direct post-sales technical support to customer engineers, during integration of our products into their systems. This includes installation, test, and benchmarking of software development kits, and configuration and use of application software, for example, IPSec/IKE, SSL, LZS and Deflate compression;
• Provide guidance and support in development of customer hardware, test software, device drivers, API's, and application software, and review of customer board schematics;
• Provide critical review of product collateral and technical documents such as MRD’s, product specifications, datasheets, software manuals, application notes, white papers and product briefs.

Required knowledge and experience:

• BSCS/EE with 10+ yrs of either software design or systems/hardware design experience;
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills;
• Broad knowledge of communication or storage system architectures and topologies;
• Deep understanding of Networking protocols (IPsec, SSL,IKE, L4-L7, L2/L3 Switching, Routing, IPv6) and/or Storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, NAS, iSCSI, RAID, Compression-LZS or Deflate);
• Direct knowledge of Cisco networking products
  
• Knowledge of Common processor architectures with some assembly language programming knowledge is a plus;
• Knowledge of common system hardware interfaces such as (PCI-express, GE, I2C & DDR3);
• Deep knowledge of ASIC/SoC design methodology;
• Familiarity with Device Driver/API development;
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming and embedded systems development, debugging techniques;
• Familiarity with RTOS internals, bin utils and C libraries in Linux, Unix, xBSD, VxWorks, or similar operating system;
• Excellent troubleshooting & performance analysis skills in embedded systems environment is a must.

Degree required:BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical training. A suitable combination of education, experience, and training is acceptable.
