The Senior eCommerce Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements and specifications for Client's websites, sales and marketing systems, and partner/affiliate integrations. This person will work closely with product marketing, sales, customer care, and IT team members to assess business needs, research solutions, and develop business use cases, functional requirements, process flows, and technical requirements. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment. The successful candidate will be customer focused, results oriented, and passionate about delivering innovative quality services to our customers.

Job Responsibilities (specific duties):

• Work with internal business partners and internal IT teams to understand and document requirements for software enhancements. This includes performing gap analysis, developing use cases, and creating functional specifications as needed.

• Work with development staff to ensure that requirements are sufficiently detailed and clearly understood. Facilitate discussions between business partners and development team to ensure that proposed technical solutions adequately meet the business need.

• Build and maintain close relationships with channel and product marketing, national and market sales, customer care, and other internal functional areas to ensure that business priorities are met and that efficient processes are being followed.

Position Requirements:

• BS/BA Degree
• 5+ years supporting IT applications, including coordination of defect/enhancement prioritization

• 3+ years experience implementing mission critical Internet-based application systems following a proper software development lifecycle, while producing required documentation

• Proficiency in creating functional requirements documentation, uses cases, and process flow diagrams

• Ability to efficiently orchestrate and drive timely escalations as required
• Commitment to do whatever it takes to make sure systems meet or exceed customers expectations
• Ability to learn new things quickly and inquisitive enough to challenge what does not make sense
• Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical (development) and non-technical (business partner) extended team members.
• Strong sense of ownership and dedication to quality

• Organization - Organized in approach and execution, but not requiring bureaucracy or over formality - substance is more critical than form

• Flexibility - Ability to adapt to rapid changes in direction is crucial
• Teamwork - Ability to work effectively and build the relationships with internal and external teams


Preferred Qualifications:


• 2+ years experience with technology startup or wireless service provider

• 1+ years experience with billing systems or billing system integrations
• Experience with iterative software development methodologies
