Providence is calling a Division Supervisor of Histology.
We're seeking an individual who performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission and Philosophy of our founders, the Sisters of Providence.
Position Specifics:
This position is located at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane , WA .
Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director and Manager, the employee is responsible for the overall management of the Histology division. The Division Supervisor has 24 hour responsibility and assures that all testing procedures are performed according to regulatory guidelines and within established turn around times. Is responsible for all maintenance, quality control, correlation studies and method validation on all instruments and procedures within the division. Is response for quality assurance and quality improvement projects and efforts within the division . Has overall responsibility for all personnel matters in include hiring, coaching, and counseling, performance evaluations, competency assessment and progressive discipline up to and including terminating in consultation with Laboratory Administrative Director, Lab Manager and Human Resources. Fiscal responsibilities include assisting with annual budget and monitoring of financial indicators which include: testing volumes, revenues, operating expenses and productivity monitoring. Maintains supplies and assist with the purchasing and preparation of capital equipment budget. Follow the principles outlined in the Compliance/Integrity Program Handbook and adheres to all regulatory requirements for this positions.
Requirements:HT (ASCP) required. Must meet the requirements for a General Supervisor under CLIA 88 regulations. Minimum of 4 years laboratory experience required.
Education: Bachelors degree in related health Science required. Masters degree preferred.
