Sr. Accountant: Execuforce

Execuforce seeks Sr. Accountant on a full-time basis for public South Bay technology company. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the following:

Resonsibilities:

-Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and account analysis of selected balance sheet accounts and selected expense accounts. Be able to work with Treasury and banks to record the interest receivable/income and other bank transactions and reconcile the investment and bank accounts. Understand the accounting treatments of trading security and available for sale security in accordance with GAAP.
-Assist consolidation accountant with the monthly and quarterly consolidation. Perform the intercompany reconciliation and be familiar with SFAS 52.
-Monitor the closing process in order to ensure that all accounting transactions for legal entities are timely processed. Be able to work cross function groups, work with subsidiaries and work with outside bookkeeper to ensure they can deliver the financials on time.
-Ensure that Chart of Accounts is clearly defined, prepare the description of the accounts. Work with IT to set up GL accounts in accounting system and work with BU controllers to properly set up the cost centers.
-Responsible for cash flow statement, including preparing equity rollforward, fixed assets follforword and reviewing short term investment rollforward schedules.
-Assist the financial reporting manager in generating monthly and quarterly financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
-Assist the financial reporting manager with Form 10Q footnote disclosures in accordance with SEC guidelines and GAAP, be able to prepare a tie-out binder for external auditor’s review.
-Own the portion of CFO flash slides, including GAAP to NonGAAP reconciliations.
-Prepare quarter review and year-end audit schedules and interface with outside auditors, be familiar with the audit procedures, and communicate the audit requirements and PBC list to our internal accounting team.
-Update internal control policies and procedures related to GL and financial reporting functions.

Requirements:

-Degree in Accounting
-CPA, with 2+ years in public accounting
-Experience with any major ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
