Associate Senior Technical Consultant - ElancoThis position provides quality technical support to the sales and marketing organization via customer service and research for Elanco Animal Health and US Elanco customers.
KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:
- Development and implementation of research studies to improve food animal production practices.
- Conduct research on approved Elanco products.
- Publish and present research results at professional meetings.
- Support the development of training, marketing, and sales materials for Elanco products.
- Provide technical support in the sales process through direct contact with customers. Serve as a resource for sales representatives and fellow technical consultants.
- Participate in the on-going development of Elanco's business strategy with marketing, sales and technical consulting groups.
- Take a proactive role to remain current in the latest food animal product and management practices.
- Provide leadership and expertise in the area of food animal production as a member of the Elanco research and development technical consulting team.
- Provide customer and Elanco team education and technical assistance to deepen production and product knowledge.
- Function as the Person Responsible for research studies as assigned.
- Take a proactive role in forming relationships and supplying information to key personnel in the various groups that support the food animal industry.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- DVM/VMD with 3-5 years of experience.
- The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the US Food Chain, commercial livestock production methods, disease, nutrition and production trends for the animal production industry.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
