Patient Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Patient Service Representatives work on-site in a local hospital with uninsured patients to establish their eligibility for public aid programs (Medicaid and charity). In addition, they work as a liaison between the patients and state/Federal agencies to secure the benefits. Local travel may be required. Other duties will be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Degree is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive own car
• Related experience in social work is helpful
• Background in Medicaid Eligibility is a plus
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus
• Must have strong customer service skills
• Must have excellent communication skills
