Positions in this function require education/certification/licensure as a Physical Therapist. Position is responsible for providing clinical and medical management services, including case management, health assessments, interventions, and discharge planning. - Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.- Works with less structured, more complex issues.- Serves as a resource to others.

We're looking for a skilled Physical Therapist to join our San Diego office as our Physical Therapy Case Manager. In this role, you would review member physical and occupational therapy treatment plans while enjoying great hours, top-notch benefits and career support only a Fortune 50 organization could offer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing the clinical response of the member's physical and occupational therapy treatment
- Reviewing information submitted from standardized health questionnaires
- Communicating with physicians and other PTs regarding the implementation of physical therapy
- Examining care plans
- Developing strategies to understand utilization
- Ensuring the department is in compliance with state regulations
Qualifications Required:
- Current and unrestricted physical therapist licensure for California
- Solid experience as a physical therapist
- Strong computer skills, must be able to type and navigate within a Windows environment
- A degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Strong communication skills
Assets that would also be preferred:
- A background in managed care
- Experience developing clinical policies
- An understanding of higher-level reimbursement policies
- APTA or other certifications
- An interest in continuing education
Nice to have:
- Previous case management experience
