Responsible for UAT test activities for mobile payment applications.



UAT Tester

Responsible for UAT Test activities and other deliverables, following the Obopay methodology and processes for testing mobile payment applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create UAT Scenario Test Plan, Test Cases and Test Scripts
  • Support Requirements Traceability
  • Smoke Test of Test Cases prior to formal execution
  • Create Product Demo to present to UAT participants prior to Test
  • Defect Management: Log Test Results for review, approval, and formal sign off from the Business Leads. Facilitate defect review meetings (Bug Scrubs).
  • Communication with Business Leads and QA Test Lead on Test Case content
  • Work with Product, Development and QA Team on system functionality issues
    Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.

Skill set and Experience Desired:

  • Experience, skills and knowledge in testing methodologies especially as they relate to UAT / QA.
  • Experience and knowledge in working with business requirements, business rules, functional.
  • Ability to create relevant documentation for UAT /QA planning, design, and execution.
  • Ability to develop testing methods and use tools that cover the whole life cycle of a product starting from the initial simulations and ending up with regression testing during the maintenance phase.
  • Ability to work with the business (UA Testers) and teach/train on how to effectively execute the Test Scripts while Leading the initiative and managing those resources optimally.
  • Must have experience creating and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Must have experience with Functional, Content, Regression, Ad-hoc, Security and Performance testing.
  • Testing experience with payment software applications preferred.
  • Responsible for maintaining schedules and coordinating activities of an entire group or department.
  • Ability to interact with international cross-functional teams to obtain product/project information.
  • Excellent communication skills including both written and verbal.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of overall QA experience.
  • Experience with UAT Testing
  • Excited about the startup company “experience”.
  • A background In Mobile Payments Applications and Mobile Platforms strongly preferred.
  • Experience in international QA initiatives and teams a plus.
