Optometry Assistant-part time: North County Health Svcs.

Looking for Bi-lingual Optometry Assistant with Medical Assistant or Optomoetry experience to fill a part-time position in a community clinic environment, with patient needs our number one priority.

Schedule appointments; follow up on failed and cancelled appointments and call patients for reminders.

Order lenses, frames and major frame repairs from outside vendors and inspect quality/accuracy for work performed. Prepare doctors' schedule; receive and verify patient registration and notify patients when their glasses are ready for pick-up. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing procedures, including but not limited to ICD9 and CPT codes preferred. Computer literacy, data base and Microsoft Office knowledge. High School graduate or GED. Up to one-year experience as Medical Receptionist or customer service representative
