Medical Assistant - Dermatology: Sadler Clinic

Skills and experience required and/or preferred High school Diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited program for Certified Medical Assistants (preferred) and current BLS certificate. Knowledge of duties in a Dermatology office, ability to annotate, terminology and pathophysiology. High anticipatory skills to assist physician in giving efficient patient care. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments and medication therapies. Skill in taking vitals, venipuncture, injections, performing EKG’s, sterlie technique, biopsies, preparing procedure set ups and CPR. Skill in maintaining medical records and documenting test results. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly. Nextgen computer knowledge desired. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast paced specialty while delivering excellent patient care and customer service.
