Quality Assurance Analyst: Phoenix Technical
Quality Assurance Analyst with Pharm D. or R Ph or CPhT preferred
Work on the testing of pharmacy systems. Assist with product management or development of pharmacy systems. Provide credibility necessary to gain acceptance with customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES (List essential responsibilities and duties):
· Work with complex pharmacy systems and the many unique variables of those systems. Must understand IF/THEN rules, clinical interventions, drug-drug interactions, etc. · Perform testing of a highly-complex nature with minimal supervision, on client/server and Web applications · Write test strategy and test plan documents · Analyze product requirements, use cases, and defects · Estimate test effort · Plan, design, develop and execute tests according to industry-standard techniques and tools · Discover, enter, track to completion, re-test, and close defects · Use Borland StarTeam for defect tracking and HP/Mercury Quality Center for test case management. · May create automated tests using Quick Test Professional (QTP) and Business Process Testing (BPT) technologies and methodologies · Use Microsoft software: Outlook, Communicator, Word, Excel, SharePoint.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. In-depth knowledge in testing and evaluating performance of application software.
Business Experience: 5+ years’ experience in testing client/server and Web application software systems.
Special Skills/Knowledge: 3+ years’ experience using/testing healthcare information systems, preferably hospital pharmacy systems, such as McKesson’s Horizon Meds Manager (HMM). Understanding of brand/generic drug names, routes, forms, etc. Knowledge of medications and medication safety. Understanding of pharmacy systems and their unique complexities. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Registered Pharmacist (R. Ph.), or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) preferred..
