POSITION OVERVIEW:
IM Technician for data management processes supporting the Deepwater Business unit's exploration and project efforts. This position will be responsible for assisting team members and business partners in their efforts to maintain reliable petrophysical, geological and engineering well data for both master and project database environments.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Key Job Responsibilities (essential position functions): Responsible for well data management in Openwork’s & Geolog (Landmark) and WPH & CDR (corporate oracle data repositories). Data types include locations (surface & bottom hole), headers, directional surveys, logs (curves), position logs, and marker picks. Candidate should have some knowledge of the Oil and Gas Business. Individual must be able to work in a team environment. Strong communications skills and the ability to plan and organize work while learning new applications. Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office products especially Excel.
Responsibilities •Well data loading for DWEP (Deep Water Exploration and Projects) •Research and or update both corporate and project databases with new well information if missing. •Well data corrections in multiple repositories. •Communicate with customers about data changes that affect their project databases.
Business Skills •Knowledge of Oil and Gas operations •Excellent problem solving skills •Strong communication skills •Ability to plan and organize work while learning new applications •Work effectively and cooperatively with peers •Ability to multi-task
Technical Skills •Specifically looking for candidates with Landmark application experience. •Ability to use Microsoft Office products especially Excel •Experience with UNIX environment would be nice to have •Quickly able to learn new applications •Some experience with Landmark products a plus
Experience •1 to 2 years experience in the industry
