Project Architect: Leo A Daly

Description
Must have, a minimum, of an accredited five (5) year Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minimum of 10 years professional architectural experience. Professional registration/license in MD/VA/DC strongly preferred. Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance. This is a full time Assignment at a secure facility in Quantico, Virginia.

· A mastery of advanced concepts, principles and practices of architecture acquired through extensive experience in architectural design and construction of facilities.

· A working knowledge of related fields such as structural, civil, space planning, interior design, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, life safety and security.

· Knowledge of Federal, state, local codes and skills inspecting major building and facility construction projects.

· A knowledge and skills in contract administration, project management, in order to plan, design, evaluate, coordinate, oversee the design, construction, and alteration of buildings and facilities.

· Ability to prepare technical specifications for contracting services.

· Ability to evaluate proposals for work.

Qualifications
Assists Group leadership in,

·Providing architectural guidance and oversight concerning planning, design, construction, budgetary and operational aspects.

·Evaluating particular needs and providing advice, assistance and recommendations to involved managers

·Setting architectural standards for architectural issues, space planning, electrical, security and life safety systems.

·Advising senior management on all architectural and construction administrative issues.

·Meeting with government officials to initiate, prepare and review design plans.

·Acting as liaison between agency officials, other government agencies, contractors and outside A/E’s.

·Coordination and review of plans and specifications developed by A/E firms and negotiation of design modifications.

·Management and preparation of construction drawings, specifications and details for in –house design projects.

·Review and negotiation of adjustments of cost estimates submitted by A/E firms and contractors.

·Conduct on-site reviews.
