Manufacturing Engineer: TAC Worldwide

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

One of our medical device client located in Palo Alto , CA is looking for someone to support multiple design changes and sustain them in manufacturing for their soon to be high volume product line. Capacity is to increase from 6 fold within the next 6 months. This is a contract to direct hire opportunity.

SKILLS:

• Solid Works 2009 or similar drafting program background and experience.
• Ability to design and build fixtures to support manufacturing
• Identify and minimize bottlenecks in production
• Have a statistical background to support Cpk analysis (Six Sigma)
• Must be able to draft and execute validation protocols
• Hands-on experience with cost reduction
• Hands-on experience with increasing and improving productivity and yields
• Some Machine shop experience desired
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementation fixtures and jigs on the manufacturing floor

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 3 years manufacturing experience in a medical device company
• A BA/BS or higher in manufacturing or materials is strongly desired
