Work in a diverse team of information security professionals to configure and monitor: Network and host based intrusion detection/prevention systems, DLP systems, firewalls, password and privilege management systems, host integrity checking
Perform in-depth analysis and risk assessments of network and host security
Configure cyber analysis tools to improve the timeliness and the value of security log data
Provide technical training to team members
Identify, analyze, remediate, and report on cyber security incidents
Configure, tune and utilize Splunk and NitroSecurity SIEM systems to manage internal and external threats
Monitor malware within the infrastructure and direct remediation efforts to manage malware’s threat to the organization
Write detailed documents in support of reports, instructions and analyses
Coordinate internal and external efforts in support of information security remediation projects and incidents
Define procedures and practices to influence internal contacts to drive appropriate action
Plan and manage projects from initiation through delivery
Develop automated processes and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of security operations
Qualifications:
BS in computer science or equivalent relevant experience, with at least 9 years of relevant information security experience
Experienced in performing, documenting and presenting information security risk assessments
Experienced in the use of penetration testing tools and techniques
Strong TCP/IP networking background, with experience in dumps, traces, routing, filtering and proxy technologies
Strong Linux security and administrative knowledge and skills, including scripting and task automation is a MUST
Strong background with network and host-based network intrusion detection/prevention tools and processes
SIEM systems(Splunk and NitroSecurity preferred) to manage internal and external threats is a must
Incident Response experience
Must have ability to manage competing priorities and be self-directed
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to convey highly detailed and technical information
Must demonstrate an interest and aptitude for problem solving
Must be collaborative and solutions oriented; work to contribute to the technical growth of the entire team
Demonstrate knowledge and desire increase skills in information technologies such as computer hardware and software, operating systems, and networking technologies
Understand and able to apply concepts of computer forensics
Must have background in the processes and techniques required to handle information security incidents
Prefer experience in highly available, mission critical, sensitive applications served over the Internet
