DEPARTMENT: Inpatient Pharmacy

SCHEDULE: Full-time, regular; 40hrs/week; SHIFT: Day

EDUCATION: B.S. in Pharmacy required, Pharm.D. preferred; CA Registered Pharmacist

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong knowledge of contemporary inpatient and outpatient pharmacy practices. Principles, standards, laws and regulations associated with business,

hospital and pharmacy operations. Personnel and organized labor administration. KPMCP organizational goals and objectives, standards, relationships and responsibilities. Management skills, including project and time management, customer service, financial and personnel management skills and ability required. Demonstrated competence in planning, development and implementation of new programs and services. Ability to monitor, analyze and make changes to existing programs and services. MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK.

DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Leader, is responsible for planning, developing, directing and controlling all aspects of pharmacy serviced provided by the Inpatient Pharmacy. This includes the procurement, distribution and control of pharmaceuticals, the evaluation and dissemination of comprehensive information about drugs and their use to hospital staff and patients and the evaluation and assurance of service quality, drug use appropriateness and responsible financial management of the department. Performs other duties as required.
