Account Executive Trainee- Inside Sales: PLS Logistics Services

Job summary

Manage and ensure all operations and sales functions for Freight Solutions as well as customer and vendor relations with respect to performance and profitability.

Summary of essential job functions

• Solicit and manage all loads for Freight Solutions customers
• Maintain and ensure proper documentation pertaining to all loads moved for Freight Solutions
• Negotiate customer freight rates
• Negotiate carrier freight rates
• Resolve any and all operational issues
• Call and work with existing customers to obtain loads for Freight Solutions
• Work with General Manager, Freight Solutions, in determining new customer leads
• Follow up with carriers on assigned loads and designed delivery constraints
• Maintain productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and PLS employees
• Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned

Minimum Requirements

· PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred), communication and organizational skills, ability to adapt to job requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

· College degree preferred or relevant sales experience

· Transportation industry experience preferred
