Cardiac Cath Tech II; Cardiac Cath Lab

Description

Administers patient care, operates equipment used during laboratory procedures, and documents all events and charges.

Minimum Job Qualifications
Minimum years in field previous to employment: One year clinical experience in a hospital setting
Minimum Education: Two Year Degree in a health care related field
Preferred Education: Four Year Degree in a health care related field

Must be one of the following: Cardio-pulmonary Technologist (CPT) Cardio-vascular Technologist (CVT) Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Respiratory Therapist (RT) Certified Invasive Technologist (CIT) Cath Tech: Hospital trained (CT) Radiology Technologist (CT) Emergency Medical Technologist - Paramedic (EMT-Paramedic) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCVT) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Radiology Technologist Registered (RTR) If LVN, must have one (1) year experience in ICU/CCU or equivalent Critical Care/Telemetry setting. If licensed, certified, or registry; must be current in the State of Texas in their area of specialization. Take and pass hospital ECG course within completion of orientation. CPR certified within one (1) month of acceptance of position. Orientation must be completed within a 3-4 month period. Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively HIGH DESIRABLE: Previous Cath Lab experienced preferred. If Radiology Technologist, one (1) year special procedures experience preferred. ACLS Certified
