Seeking a highly motivated Purchasing clerk to begin a career with our organization. Able Infosat is a Systems Integrator providing Communications Solutions to the Energy Industry since 1984. We offer a large variety of products and services which include Satellite Communications, Microwave, Two-Way Radio Systems, GMDSS, Security/CCTV, TVRO and Rig communications.

The Purchasing clerk is to be responsible for:

  • Order fulfillment by means of purchasing items for jobs/projects and/or allocating from stock.
  • Implementing re-order levels and maintaining stock on inventory stock items.
  • Confirm orders with vendors and expedite order to meet client deadlines.
  • Support sales account managers in regards to order fulfillment.
  • Perform quarterly physical inventory.
  • Daily posting of inventory increments and decrements.
  • Obtain P & D’s for sales and operations departments.
  • Setup new part numbers and maintain bin locations.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for purchases based on company policies and procedures.
  • Obtain MSDS and required documentation from manufacturers/vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:

  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent work ethic.
  • Related purchasing and inventory control experience desired.
  • Familiarity with Petrochemical industry and equipment such as two-way radios, satellite phones, communications equipment along with cable and connecters desired but not necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills.
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a deadline environment.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Great Plains desired, but not necessary.
