BASIC PURPOSE:

To manage the Accounting department staff and produce financial statements.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Financial statements and customer invoices produced accurately and on time. Payment on customer invoices collected expeditiously. Expenses recorded accurately. Bills paid in order to allow product and services to be processed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Produce accurate and timely financial statements

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis

Record and process commissions accurately and on time

Review journal entries

File sales tax reports accurately and on time

Manage accounting staff

Generate reports as needed

Lifts Minimum – 5 pounds, maximum 40 pounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Primary backup to CFO, Billing Manager

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Degree - Accounting ;, CPA preferred. Prior experience in managing accounting staff at software company. Advanced PC skills with Microsoft Office and mid-sized ERP system. Experience with revenue recognition (SOP-92). Must be detail oriented and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
