Complete Description

The Surgical Patient Care Technician is a member of the health care team working directly under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility is scrubbing surgical procedures and assisting the professional staff in the care of the patient. The Surgical Patient Care Technician must possess a thorough knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique and assumes responsibility for high degree of accuracy and control of details. Assumes responsibility for call according to department policy. 1-2 years previous experience preferred. Must be a graduate of Surgical Technology Program or a minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Surgical Technician.

Additional Information

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
