Sony PlayStation®: Manager, Business Process Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for documenting the current software development project and game title fulfillment processes (AS-IS), analyze the efficiency of the processes, provide recommendations for improvements (TO-BE) and implement organizational process changes.
  • Facilitate discussions with Global Platform members and assist them in documenting their software development and game title fulfillment processes specific to their departments.
  • Champion continuous improvement (CI) within the organization and help foster a CI mindset and culture.
  • Maintain documentation for the process flows and instructions for process tools used by Global Platform.
  • Provide guidance and assistance on individualized process improvement initiatives to departments on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

  • PEOPLE: Demonstrated success as a Continuous Improvement Manager, showing a track record of achievement in motivation and inter-group coordination. Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with people at all levels. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Experience presenting to senior management. Strong English language verbal presentation and written communication skills, with an understanding of cross-cultural issues sufficient to tailor the language and scope of communication depending upon the recipient's target country. (Ex., European versus Japanese versus American).
  • PROCESS: Highly skilled in business mapping and process reengineering. Must be trained and experienced in organizational change management methodology. Must have knowledge of industry best practices for project management, software engineering and business processes, such as: Project Management Institute methodology (PMBOK) Project Management Maturity Model (PMM), Operational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and Six Sigma.
  • TECHNICAL: Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Must have computer science knowledge adequate to understand and communicate interactions among complex computer systems in business terms; intermediate level Internet knowledge; and proficient in MS Visio, Project Server, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • PLANNING/IMPLEMENTATION: Demonstrated ability to think and execute strategically. Must be able to create and track process improvement initiatives as projects. Manage multiple tasks. Work independently and deliver a consistent high level of performance. Develop practical responses to issues where there is no clear precedent.
  • INDUSTRY: Should have strong background in software systems lifecycle management to communicate planning and operations issues to internal staff and represent Global Platform to external parties.
