The Area: Human Resources Technology and Operations

The Human Resource Technology and Operations team designs, implements and supports innovative technology tools across HR and also runs core transactional operations. Technology is central to our mission of attracting and retaining the best talent worldwide. Our operations group handles extremely high volumes of transactions involving the full scope of the employee lifecycle. This is a cross-functional group that provides an excellent opportunity to make an impact across a range of HR and business groups on a global basis.

The Role: Coordinator

The Human Resources Technical Operations Coordinator maintains information in Google's internally developed database and is responsible for entering data that is related to new hires, change-of-status forms, compensation changes and other types of human resources transactions. You'll also regularly audit the data's accuracy and completeness while focusing on special projects to enhance overall data quality. Additionally, you'll run standard and ad hoc reports as required. You're the type of person who pays excellent attention to details, can be trusted to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, has superior organizational and time management skills and is able to juggle multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Receives, reviews, and processes all relevant source documentation pertaining to hiring, termination, employee status changes, special compensation, etc. for entry into Google's HRIS Audits own data entry as well as the entry of others for quality control in terms of accuracy and completeness.
  • Performs concentrated data entry related to specific data quality initiatives, to correct or update employee information.
  • Handles assigned end-user help tickets and follows through to ensure timely issue resolution. Runs routine reports. Establishes, organizes, and maintains electronic employee files, ensuring that all files are current and complete.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements for improving data quality and shortening cycle times. Provides support for testing enhancements to the HR system as needed.
  • Participates in special projects focused on data cleansing, process redesign, documentation creation and other related topics.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree required; preferably Computer Science with 1 to 2 years of Human Resource experience, previous HRIS experience in a large corporate environment is preferred.
  • Real interest in Human Resources.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and Word skills, typing 30 to 40 wpm is required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and solid time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation. A pleasant personality, welcoming and helpful.
