Medical Biller

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Medical Biller files claims and works to resolve problematic and aged form 1500 and UB42 claims on behalf of our clients. They contact insurance carriers for status updates, resubmit claims, write appeals when necessary, etc. We are looking for candidates that have experience working with hospital and/or physician insurance claims. Other duties will be assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Background with filing and following up on medical insurance claims are required
• Experience with Microsoft Excel is a must
• Experience in medical billing field (UB40 and 1500 form experience is necessary)
• Must have excellent typing skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9 & CPT coding
