Located on the scenic Northern California Coast, Sutter Coast Hospital first opened its doors in 1931 and has continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of the residents of Crescent City, California and Brookings-Harbor, Oregon. We affiliated with Sutter Health in 1986 and moved to our present location in 1992. The not-for-profit hospital has 59 beds and serves a population of approximately 43,000. Sutter Coast Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Sutter Coast Hospital provides a wide spectrum of quality health care services ranging from wellness programs to acute hospital care. Services include a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care/critical care units, surgery, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, urgent care and home health services.

Evaluates, establishes treatment plan, and provides physical therapy services upon physician referral for identified patients. The physical therapist performs services in an interdisciplinary environment with Occupational Therapy, speech pathology, physicians, nursing and other health care providers. All patient services are documented appropriately and updated to justify continued intervention. Reports to the Clinical Supervisor and to the CMRN for day to day patient care issues.

Completion of BA or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Licensed as a physical therapist in Oregon/California and holds a current CPR certificate. Current California driver's license. Prefer one year experience in ACF or rehab department. Six months' previous home health experience in physical disabilities and rehabilitation is desired. Works in home health setting requiring broad clinical knowledge with an awareness of psycho/social/physical aspects of aging. Concern for the acute and long term care of clients and their families being provided services by the agency. Must complete competency skills check list during first three months of hire and annually thereafter. Must have ability to accurately and timely document patient evaluation, therapeutic intervention and justification for continued service. Demonstrate effectiveness in communicating and employee relations is also required. Access to car, and current auto insurance required.
