Our Digital Group is responsible for leading Hasbro’s efforts in the digital media and gaming space, working with multiple strategic licensing partners to activate many of our classic brands, such as MONOPOLY, NERF, TONKA, SCRABBLE, YAHTZEE, and LITTLEST PET SHOP, on multiple digital platforms.
Hasbro's Digital Media & Game Licensing Group seeks a highly innovative, energetic, and motivated marketer! The Marketing Manager will work with the Hasbro Games and Tiger Electronics Marketing and Design teams to identify and develop digital business opportunities for the respective brands. The Marketing Manager will also work closely with Hasbro’s external partners like Electronic Arts, and act as an agent on behalf of the internal Marketing and Design teams. In this role, the Marketing Manager will work with a variety cross functional teams to coordinate all brand related activities to maximize revenue. This person will also be responsible for using industry learning and relevant consumer insight to help the Marketing teams develop business, Marketing and strategic plans as it relates to digital media. This position reports to the Senior Director of Digital Media (Games and Tiger Electronics).
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Hasbro's internal Marketing and Design teams to establish brand priorities.
Work closely with Hasbro Games and Tiger Electronics Marketing teams, EA/additional partners on the development of all related marketing activities for the brands activated by EA/additional partners. This includes collaborating on the development of the strategic brand plan (product positioning, target market, marketing strategy, volume forecasting, competitive analysis, and marketing budget for the digital media product.
Work closely with the Sr. Director of Digital Media (Games and Tiger Electronics) to assist the Marketing teams in the creation of business plans and financial modeling for digital media initiatives.
Ensure the full and fair execution of Hasbro’s business arrangements with external partners.
Work closely with Finance and EA/additional partners preparing accurate revenue forecasts on a title, brand and platform basis. Regularly conduct revenue re-forecasting exercises in line with new information gained from EA/additional partners and Hasbro Games and Tiger Electronics marketing.
Seek input from Hasbro Marketing and Design & Development on the creation/development of the key art and packaging, TV/Print/Online advertising, and website creative for all digital media product.
Work closely with Sr. Director and Hasbro Games and Tiger Electronics Marketing teams to ensure, where appropriate, all digital media products have fully integrated marketing programs and maximize cross-promotional opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain a strong knowledge of Digital Media industries and keep fully up to date with any trends and convergence with other industries.
Analyze, develop and present key consumer and industry data to the Marketing and Design teams.
Develop a comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of EA’s and additional partner’s market and media strategy objectives by platform, to be able to maximize best fit with Hasbro’s brands.
Manage day to day relationship with EA and additional partners marketing team to ensure that all marketing plans are in line with the overall brand strategy and Hasbro’s long term business goals.
Act as liaison with EA and Hasbro CSM teams to develop promotions to drive incremental toy/games and digital media revenue at retail.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
5 – 8 years' experience in Marketing preferably with a digital game company
Ideally, 2 years supervisory experience
Marketing experience targeted to a variety of different consumers with a strong understanding of cultural and technology trends is preferred
Experience with Digital Gaming (wireless, console, PC, interactive gaming, IPTV, VOD, etc) is preferred
Understanding of the competitive market, customers and industry trends
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Excellent project management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others within a work group
Ability to lead initiatives and project teams
Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment
Strong analytical skills and ability to do forecasting
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
Ability to travel 25%, including 2 times per week to our office in East Longmeadow, MA
