Functional Description:
• Liaison with customer on Omnicaid operational issues;
• Describe and report confirmed system problems;
• Test system fixes as required and report results;
• Communicate critical system problems (verbally and in writing) to state staff and to Medicaid Operational staff on a regular basis (at least once a week).
• Communicate system changes (fixes to problems and enhancements) to state staff and Medicaid Operational staff on at least a weekly basis. This communication will be verbal and written.
• Assist with necessary follow-up when a system problem has been identified and/or fixed. (This may mean doing mass adjustments, reviewing mass adjustment reports, writing a weekly provider memo, etc.)
• Assist with state or operations training necessary due to system problems or changes.
• Assist operations in developing changed procedures needed due to system problems or changes.
• Review certain memos and PARS assigned to Albuquerque to determine if work is manual or can be achieved systematically.
• Act as resource for Operations staff and MAD staff on Omnicaid functionality
• Assist in maintaining the UR file
• Assist in training State and ACS Omnicaid users
Education and Typical Years Experience
• Require a minimum of 2 years operations experience in MMIS claims processing environment, degree preferred
• Prefer familiarity with New Mexico Medicaid policy and procedures
• Knowledgeable in the use of SQL, MS Access, ad hoc query tools and other mainframe software
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
