
Responsibilities/Description: Position Scope: The Senior Human Resources Generalist performs high-level tasks associated with the administration of the Human Resources Function in Dresser-Rand's Wellsville, NY Plant. This role includes activities with both salaried and bargaining unit employees, including salary and benefit plan administration and labor relations. The Senior Generalist works in partnership with hiring managers to ensure and enforce all HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Position Responsibilities: Perform contract administration, grievance administration and salary administration. Coordinate community relations and college recruiting with interested parties and hiring managers. Act as the "right hand" assistant to the Human Resources Manager. Provide and/or arrange for specialized training and development of salaried and hourly employees . Coordinate clerical duties with the HR Coordinator. Act as the leader for the performance management program and its issues. Participate in hiring process, including interviewing, background and drug screening and onboarding. Complete separation process duties, including exit interviews, and benefit/COBRA termination. Confer with others, such as finance, engineering, supply chain and workers' representatives to coordinate work activities and resolve problems.
Job Specific Responsibilities/Qualifications: Position Qualifications: Mandatory: The ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or 4 years experience in Human Resources in a unionized manufacturing setting. Experience with benefits administration at the local service level. The willingness and ability to travel occasionally by personal vehicle to cities in the Southern Tier of New York State (Olean, Wellsville and Painted Post). Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel Power Point and Outlook.
Discretionary: Experience in contract administration interpretation. Experience with ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP or Peoplesoft.
