SUMMARY:


Responsible for providing accounting support to the Accounting Manager in the multi-faceted area of the Oracle General Ledger system, and related sub-systems. Secondary responsibility for projects requiring accounting and related analytical skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Completes all tasks and assignments demonstrating customer service principals.

2. Serves as the primary support for monthly closing of Company books in an accurate and timely manner.

3. Maintains a solid working knowledge of the MTCH chart of accounts.

4. Maintains and continuously improves knowledge of the Oracle General Ledger system and other Oracle financial packages.

5. Possesses and maintains the basic accounting skills necessary to perform and thoroughly understand the general ledger transactions.

6. Performs monthly analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Researches and resolves any differences.

7. Maintains fixed assets records, including addition, deletion, sales, transfer, depreciation schedules for both book and tax.

8. For entities not using Oracle Fixed Assets subledger, maintains fixed asset records by area/site including additions, deletions, sales, transfers, and depreciation schedules for both book and tax..

9. Supports the Controller in treasury management functions by maintaining daily cash balances, preparing the daily cash forecasts and other related duties.

10. Assists with the annual audit and other compliance audits as directed.


11. Reconciles the assigned G/L subsidiary ledger reports to G/L control accounts.

12. Completes other tasks and projects as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:


1. BS degree, preferably in Accounting or relevant coursework.

2. Previous accounting experience preferred.

3. Knowledge of fixed asset accounting preferred.

4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

5. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.


WORKING CONDITIONS:


1. Requires ability to work at computer station.
