
Responsibilities/Description: Position Scope: - Position reports to Vice President of North American and Asia Pacific Operations.
- Responsible for quality assurance and defect prevention for four manufacturing plants in North America and one manufacturing plant in India.
- Includes end-to-end manufacturing processes and operations.
Candidate will be responsible for: - Development and implementation of quality assurance program for materials and products, both manufactured in-house and provided by preferred supplier.
- Providing direction and knowledge, taking a proactive approach to educate operations and supplier personnel by presenting best practices and continuous improvement methods to quality systems.
- Collaborating with vendors, customers, quality representatives and company personnel:
- Discuss, review and analyze quality issues
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify root cause
- Develop actions to prevent recurrance of quality issues
- Provide oversite and direction for quality control systems and quality audit requirements.
Qualifications: Required: - Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to provide examples of successful implementation of quality assurance programs from start to finish
- Proven or demonstrated skills in effective root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to provide examples that demonstrate a systematic approach to corrective actions
Preferred: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- International quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ISO, ANSI standards
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in any of the following manufacturing environments:
- Oil and Gas
- Aerospace
- Automotive
- Electronics (semi-conductor)
