CTG is in immediate need of a Senior / Expert Linux SuSe 10 / XEN Administrator for a long term and ongoing W2 contract with our Fortune 20 customer in Bentonville , Arkansas .

Project Duration: 12 months to ongoing

Project Location: Bentonville , Arkansas / Sorry, no telecommute option.

CTG is in need of a skilled Linux (SuSe 10, Xen) Administrator to assist in the support of a large retail customer’s growing Linux environment. The successful candidate will analyze technical problems and create solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools. This individual will also be responsible for daily Linux admin/support duties, which would include on call support, pager, and third shift rotation (every 6th – 7th week) as well as proactive monitoring & skills transfer. They will also be responsible for developing processes & procedures to support the growing environment.

The selected Linux Support Engineer will provide focused Linux Software Technical Support on the following:

· Currently 600 Linux Servers being supported. They are rolling out over 4000 more. IBM Blade Server environment.

· Good Verbal and Written Communication. Ability to go to meetings with Tech Leads and demonstrate capabilities to the customer. Need someone who really knows the possibilities of the virtualization aspects of Xen.

· Deploying SUSE Xen on Blade Servers

· Good Troubleshooting and Analytical Skills

· Good understanding of networking & vlans

· System x/p Hardware (Blade/Blade Center) a plus

· Linux OS (Suse 10x) Administration/Support

· TCP/IP - networking (vlans, bonding) etc.

· Virtualization software (Xen)

· React to fix field escalated issues promptly

· Candidates must be located in Bentonville Arkansas ; hourly pay rates are negotiable but must be all inclusive to include travel expenses.
