Minimum Experience/Education: Ph.D. in an Earth science discipline, e.g., a Ph.D. in meteorology, atmospheric sciences, mathematics, engineering, or physical science, worked with surface and remotely sensed observations

Departmental Required Skills: Computer literate, good communication skills and excellent group dynamics.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Research on remote sensing of land surface temperatures from space.

Essential Job Duties: Coordination of Land Surface Team (NPOESS) meetings and support of collaborative research, research on calibration/validation of land surface temperature observations from NPP and NPOESS.
