Studio Manager- PictureMe! Portrait Studios
The Studio Manager provides operational and administrative management of a PictureMe! Portrait Studio, including photography, sales, customer service, reporting, safety, inventory control, development, training and supervision of associates; responsible for development and continuation of a professional relationship with the Host Store Managers. Other responsibilities will include:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the PictureMe! Portrait Studio, including photography of customers of all ages (adults, teens, children, babies and infants), customer service, sales, and special activities, as directed
- Hires, trains, supervises, coaches, counsels, and evaluates associates
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates day-to-day work activities to ensure that studio is adequately staffed, that work is assigned, and that resources are available to meet performance and profitability objectives and deadlines
- Coordinates the work of studio associates to ensure excellent customer service on a consistent basis; resolves problems related to transactions handled by the Studio
- Resolves problems concerning the day-to-day administrative and operational issues
- Oversees maintenance and safety of studio, including safety signage, and utilizes inventory control systems to check for stock shrinkage and theft
- Reviews, validates, and oversees the processing of reports and payment documentation, monitoring for accuracy and compliance with operational standards
- Participates in the development of operating goals and objectives; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations, as approved or directed by upper management
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Responsible for maintaining key contact relationship with Host store manager and appropriate Host store Department heads. Represents studio in Host store meetings and functions. Responsible for resolving any customer service issues with host store management.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to follow the Company’s policies and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to supervise and train associates, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Basic skill in the use of computers
- Ability to analyze and solve problems involving customers, associates and host
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to develop associates and manage performance
- Ability to organize resources and establishing priorities
- Knowledge of management principles, procedures, and requirements within a retail environment
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
This position is within a retail environment; hours and schedules may vary based on the seasonality of the business. The Studio Manager must be available and willing to work nights and weekends. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach above shoulder
- Lift, push, pull or move weights up to 30 pounds
- Associates must use their hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation in daily activities and for the occasional set up and maintenance of the studio and equipment
- Frequently required to stand for long periods of time
- Occasionally climb a ladder to approximately 10 feet above floor level
