SUMMARY
As a member of the Coastal and Imports Wine and Grape Supply team, this person will work closely with the Premium and other BUs to understand our current wine position and provide fact-based recommendations to management in support of our long-term grape supply strategy. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be comfortable interacting with Winemaking and GVI/Growers representatives to reach consensus on a variety of topics that influence wine quality, volume, and price.
Skill in applying sound reasoning and financial metrics in support of recommendations based on incomplete or “gray area” information is highly desirable. Understanding where to access, how to retrieve and summarize key information into a format that is easily understood by stakeholders is highly desirable.
In addition to actively tracking and reporting against overall supply, this position involves individual and group research projects to identify ways to improve quality and reduce cost by more flexibly leveraging bulk supply against our portfolio of products. A successful candidate needs to identify opportunities, recommend, gain agreement to, and follow through to successful implementation.
