RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides management support and leadership for patent paralegals, secretaries, word processors and administrative assistants; including staffing, training, retention and practice standardization. Ensures appropriate workloads and work quality are achieved. Performs administrative supervisory functions, training and orientation and ensures compliance with firm policies and procedures. Is responsible for ensuring consistent representation of the Partners, attorneys and agents in meeting the objectives of the office locally and for promoting and overseeing local involvement in firm wide patent projects and training in connection with patent-related policies and processes. Responsible for ensuring client satisfaction is achieved throughout all position responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 2) Seven plus years patent secretarial, foreign filing or other related experience. 3) Law firm experience highly desirable. 4) Two plus years of supervisory or management experience preferred. 5) Strong technical background. 6) Excellent communications skills. 7) Proven ability to work well with all levels of management, staff, and attorneys. 8) Ability to promote a team environment. 9) Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with often competing deadlines. 10) Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively. 11) Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive, detailed data. 12) High comfort level with sometimes stressful client requirements.
