Located on the scenic Northern California Coast, Sutter Coast Hospital first opened its doors in 1931 and has continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of the residents of Crescent City, California and Brookings-Harbor, Oregon. We affiliated with Sutter Health in 1986 and moved to our present location in 1992. The not-for-profit hospital has 59 beds and serves a population of approximately 43,000. Sutter Coast Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Sutter Coast Hospital provides a wide spectrum of quality health care services ranging from wellness programs to acute hospital care. Services include a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care/critical care units, surgery, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, urgent care and home health services. The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is directly responsible to the Director of Outpatient Services for the operation of the Rehabilitation Department. The Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates rehabilitation services for the hospital (including physical therapy, occupational and speech therapy). Integrating these services into the total hospital program and that of the community, and performs related duties as required. These functions are in addition to the job duties of a staff physical therapist. Maintains knowledge of age specific care requirements.

Graduation from an accredited PT program at the baccalaureate or post baccalaureate degree level and current California licensure is required.
Clinical experience related to neurology, orthopedics, wounds, cardiopulmonary and geriatric patients is desired, as is management experience.

Must have ability to accurately document patient evaluation, therapeutic treatment and justification for continued service. Demonstrates effectiveness in communicating with patients and their caregivers, other department members and with other hospital personnel including physicians. CPR certification is required.
