Delivers direct patient care to hospice clients in their place of residence, supervises cae provided by HHAides, coorinates care with other disciplines, implements and contributes to the plan of care, accepts and carries out physician orders, performs comprehensive assessments for pain and symptom management, participates in QI projects, and attends hospice team conferences.

Education:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of profesional nursing, who is licensed in the State of California by the Board of Registered Nursing.
2. CPR certification and valid drivers license.
3. An Associate or Bachelors deree, with a minimum of one year of experience as a professional nurse within the last three years.
4. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skill; nursing skills per competency checklist.

Experience:
1. One year of hospice care experience or training in palliative care required.
2. Management experience not required. Responsible for supervising home health aides.
