Job Description:
Responsible and accountable to ensure the cost-effective management of surgical service resources in collaboration with surgeons, the Team Leaders, and nursing staff. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care given in a specialty area of the Main Operating Room.
Accountabilities:
1. Manages, develops, implements and evaluates standards of care in specialty area to facilitate quality patient care, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
2. Promotes and supports of an environment that is conducive to staff growth, development and autonomy.
3. Performs the principle duties and responsibilities of the RN position and serves as a role model for professional practice.
4. Is accountable for appropriate resource utilization within surgical specialty.
5. Accepts responsibility for self-development and professional practice.
