US CRM Planner

The Role

The CRM Planner will join a growing global planning team consisting of individuals with a range of client side and agency experience. The team consists of media, data and account planners and is an integral part of this fast growing global integrated agency.

This is a new CRM role to support the increasing global nature of the agency’s client base, with a focus on the day to day CRM planning of the US arm of key clients. As such, this role will be based out the New York office. The role will report to a global senior account planner in the London office.

The responsibilities of the global planning department span brand development, communications strategy and planning, plus media and data planning. The team works across the majority of the agency’s business and consumer clients which include a number of market leading brands.

Skills and Experience

The global planning team is looking to bolster its planning capabilities within the New York office with a specific focus on an sirlines private flying club account. Consequently, a communications planner with data / CRM experience is sought.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with customer segmentation models (either leisure of financial services experience would be beneficial) and be able to demonstrate the ability to use data driven customer insight to plan the targeting and messaging of campaigns to generate the desired campaign response.

The candidate should have strong numeracy skills, be comfortable working with data and campaign reports, have good attention to detail and be very confident in working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

The role will be client facing and will be a key interface between client data teams and data partners on US accounts.

The planner will be responsible for:

  • Providing consumer/customer insight through data analysis to inform strategic development
  • Use this insight to support the global senior account planner on
    • the adaptation segmentation and targeting models to the US market
    • the development of measurable data driven communications plans and strategies for the US market
    • the development and implementation of testing strategies
  • Present to and obtain buy-in for these communication plans into the US client
  • Evaluation and measurement of campaigns and tests
  • Reporting against business targets on a quarterly basis and presenting results in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Updating annual marketing communications plans with actual figures
  • Managing data suppliers
  • Contributing to client planning processes and building strong internal relationships with the media and planning teams
  • Running and planning internal and external brainstorms and workshops
  • Building strong client relationships
  • Building strong internal relationships with creative, media and digital teams

The ideal candidate would be a planner with approximately 5-7 years experience in a leading integrated or direct agency with experience of working on consumer and business accounts, specifically having worked with customer segmentation.

This role would suit a candidate that is positive, enthusiastic, prepared to be challenged and prepared to learn. They need to be adaptable, self motivated and used to a quick paced agency environment.
