An outstanding opportunity has opened for a Board Certified Medical Doctor to join a non-profit organization as a Medical Director in a part-time position with flexible hours and a highly competitive hourly wage.

Job Description

  • Provide medical consulting support and leadership for programs involving claims management, medical and drug utilization review, medical provider contracting, legal services and medical networks
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of corporate utilization review and medical management guidelines supported by current medical evidence.
  • Provide medical education as required for staff and providers.
  • This position requires 20 hour weekly onsite availability

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

  • DO NOT APPLY unless you have a M.D. and you are Board Certified.
  • Strong experience working in a trauma center (setting bones, etc.) or other emergency setting
  • A current medical license and good standing with medical board
  • Previous insurance experience, specifically working with workers compensation cases is a plus
  • A background with occupational injuries is a plus as well
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
