Title PATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

Description Performs and/or coordinates a full range of patient services tasks including telephones, scheduling, (non-medical) triage, medical record preparation, clerical and reception activities in order to receive, process, direct and generally coordinate patient visits in the Service. Utilizes computerized scheduling system and follows protocols of particular billing procedures.

Requirements High School grad. or equivalent, and at least one full year of related health care experience in a patient services environment. Must possess the ability to communicate and deal effectively with patients, physicians, visitors and all others in the course of performing duties. Must be competent in responding to the age and developmental levels of patients being served (child, adolescent, young adult, adult, geriatric) as well as the sensory deprived and disabled. Excellent verbal communications skills required for the telephone, interaction with patients and others and strong organizational skills a must. CRT experience very helpful.
